Residential Carpet Cleaning (22)
Should I get my carpets cleaned during winter or on a rainy day?
For some companies, this might be a concern. Not for us here at Beyond Clean Group though! Not only are we one of the most experienced companies that provide carpet cleaning on the Sunshine Coast, we have also heavily invested in some of the most powerful equipment. What this means, is that rain, hail or shine, no matter the season that we can always provide a fantastic standard of clean with a dry time that won’t inconvenience you or your family.
Why do your prices vary from other carpet cleaners?
The simple answer is: quality in workmanship and reputation. Lets look at the facts
• On Going Training. Every one of our staff is trained by a technical cleaning college called Jena Dyco International in a variety of disciplines. We operate in an unregulated industry, so approximately 90% of “professional” (and we use that term loosely) cleaners have never been trained or scrutinised to make sure they are cleaning to both national and international standards, or that they even understand the fundamentals. This training doesn’t come cheap and costs us thousands of dollars per staff member. However, it is one of the factors that separate professionals from unprofessional businesses.
• History and Experience. Between our staff, we have been in the cleaning industry longer than any other cleaner here on the Sunshine Coast! In that time we have organized and cleaned over 42,000 homes and businesses. This volume of experience has allowed us to learn exactly what to do, and what not to do to achieve the best result for you. And we are continually learning as well.
• The most POWERFUL equipment. The majority of the carpet cleaning firms use smaller electric extractors that have limited vacuum and little to no heat, or they use a simple rotary scrubbing machines with some form of absorbent pads underneath them. Here at Beyond Clean, we also carry this type of equipment, but use these as secondary cleaning systems with other performance boosters and only use them where absolutely necessary.
Our primary unit though is a self-contained vehicle mounted high pressure, high temperature extraction unit. When we wash our dishes, we realize that hot water helps dissolve and lift stains. The same is true when cleaning your carpets. Unfortunately, most other carpet cleaners that use electric extractors will simply use the hot water that comes from your bathroom tap, which is about 50 deg C. Our very large vehicle mounted unit super heats its own water to approximately 120 deg C. That’s over twice the grease melting and stain busting heat that most other cleaners have access too. But the real reason our unit is the most powerful here on the Sunshine Coast is due to its vacuum and extraction power. This machine has almost two and a half times more drying power than a standard machine most carpet cleaners utilise. What does all this tech talk mean for you? It means that combined with our experience, our high performance equipment will allow us clean the maximum amount of soil and staining from your carpet, while leaving them as soft and dry as possible.
When comparing prices, make sure you ask a lot of questions and please keep a few things in mind. Our price includes treating for spots, moving furniture, and a 7-day satisfaction policy. We are the one of the most experienced cleaning companies on the coast. We use the most powerful equipment. There are no hidden fees or additional charges after we give you the quote. Also, we never sub-contact, so our technicians are always police checked, drug tested and properly trained and certified Beyond Clean Group employees. This is what allows us to stand behind all of our work, and why our business has succeeded on word of mouth referrals.
You mention your IICRC certifications. What is the IICRC and why should I care?
The Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) has served as the industry sentinel for the cleaning, inspection and restoration service industries for more than 30 years. The IICRC helps ensure that you have access to trusted and trained cleaning professionals by establishing and monitoring certification programs and standards for these industries.
To qualify for IICRC-Certified Firm status businesses must demonstrate proof of insurance, maintain a written customer complaint policy with documented follow-up and provide ongoing education and training leading to certification for all technicians. IICRC Certified Firms are also required to abide by the IICRC Code of Ethics.
Regular professional cleaning using a IICRC trained technician is as important to your carpet as having a trained mechanic perform routine tune-ups on your car. While your carpet may appear clean on the surface, periodic cleaning by a certified technician can remove what you can’t see and help your carpet retain its fresh, beautiful appearance. In an unregulated industry, using a company that has all of its staff trained to IICRC standards is the BEST level of insurance you could choose when selecting a cleaning professional to enter your home to clean and protect your investment, all the while giving you peace of mind.
Can you fix indentations from heavy furniture?
No guarantee can be made on removing indentations from heavy furniture, as the weight of the items that have left the indentations will have a large bearing on the results we can achieve. In addition to the pile of the carpet being crushed, the backing of the carpet can be stretched and the underlay can be flattened. Heat, moisture and usage of large vacuum with our equipment may help, but it will take time to release back to normal, if at all. Severe cases may be permanent.
Can you clean apartments and high rise dwellings?
Definitely! Yes, we use the same safe but efficient cleaning solutions but utilize slightly different equipment and technology to allow for a thorough cleaning no matter what your location.
Will I be charged a cancellation fee if I cancel by booking?
We understand that plans change, and if you wish to cancel prior to receiving our appointment confirmation via SMS or email you are free to do so. If however we have allocated your appointment and confirmed via SMS or email, we will charge a cancellation fee of $ 65.00. You are more than welcome to reschedule once with being charged a cancellation fee providing it is more than 24 hours before your scheduled appointment.
Why do you charge by the Square Metre instead of Per Room like others do?
Quite simply, it is the fairest solution for you as the consumer engaging a company. It stops some companies who use ‘per room’ pricing who then turns up and extracts more money from you because you job is larger than they assumed (which is also a typical “Bait and Switch” tactic too). There can be confusion with some consumers as well if a lounge and dining room are considered as one if there are no walls separating them. With our system, you only pay for exactly what we clean. If your room size is smaller than what is considered ‘standard’, you pay less.
Should I go with the cheapest advertised price I can find for carpet cleaning?
Unfortunately many companies in our industry do not practice ethical service standards and will often times mislead the consumer. Offering a low price to get into someone’s home then, once they are in the home, they use high-pressure sales tactics to increase the invoice amount. It is an old trick called bait and switch. Simply, they want you to book with them because the price is too good to refuse. Often times you will find companies charging extra for pre-conditioning, vacuuming, heavy duty cleaning, deodorizing, fuel charges, travel and many other variations. Often the customer will end up with an invoice that is often a few times the original amount quoted. Here at Beyond Clean Group through, we have developed a system and protocol to achieving an award-winning standard at the agreed price we provide after we have inspected your floor coverings. For families looking for a cleaner, healthier, longer-lasting result… the decision is clear – Beyond Clean Group!

Do you move furniture?
Our crews are professionally trained to move your light furniture, and return it to its rightful place when cleaning is completed (please remove any valuables, knick knacks and breakables prior to our arrival). For liability purposes, we cannot be responsible for heavier furniture (like some beds, bookcases, china cabinets, entertainment cabinets etc.). In these kinds of situations our technicians will work around these pieces delicately.
Any furniture that has exposed timber or metal legs/feet that contact the carpet while it is still damp may react with the moisture and cause a stain, and the stain may be impossible to remove (timber stains especially). All furniture that will be returned to its original position will have protective blocks or tabs placed under the feet. These protective items should remain under the furnishings for 24hrs before removal. Any furniture that has been removed from the room for the cleaning is best left off for 24 hours.
How often should I have my carpets cleaned?
Carpet Manufacturers and indoor air quality specialists recommend getting a professional cleaning at least every 6-12 month (see chart below). Your carpets, upholstery, and mattresses act as air filters in your home and trap air borne contaminants. If you are waiting for your carpets to look soiled before cleaning, then you are waiting too long. Schedule your cleaning on a regular cycle to ensure a clean in-home air environment. This will also make your asset have a longer life span as well.
How long will it take for my carpet to dry?
Dry time is affected by humidity; temperature and air flow to the area. Using fans in any rooms cleaned and turning your air conditioning or heating system on, depending on the time of year, can help accelerate drying time. Be especially careful when walking from damp, carpeted areas on to non-carpeted areas to avoid slipping.
The biggest thing the affects dry times is what process has been used and the degree of soiling that needed to be removed from your carpet. Typically our dry times can range from 30 minutes to 4 hours.
Residential Carpet Cleaning Frequency Guide

Do you charge for an estimate or a quote?
No, we do not charge for an estimate. Based on the answers we receive from you from questions we have asked, we are more than willing to give you an obligation free estimate over the phone, and will confirm a quote after we have inspected the site personally prior to preceding. After we have measured the areas to be serviced, THERE IS NO HIDDEN FEES OR CHARGES. The price we quote is the price you pay!
Do you guarantee removal of all spots or stains in the carpet?
Upon our initial pre inspection walk through, we will discuss with you whether any spot we find will respond or can be removed as part of our standard cleaning package (about 85% of spots come out due to the power of our equipment and cleaning solutions used) or if extra treatment and the likelihood of the spot being able to be removed, partially removed or lightened or if the spot is deemed to be a stain and could be permanent.
If at the completion of cleaning there are still the odd stain that have not been removed in the cleaning process that require extra treatments such as “Heat transfer methods” or “Spot dyeing” these procedures will be discussed with you and a quote given for the removal of these more difficult areas.
We cannot guarantee that we will remove all spots or stains (especially if the stain had been previously cleaned improperly thus setting the stain permanently) as there are certain substances that can permanently discolor and damage the carpet fibers beyond repair. Our trained technicians are certified with IICRC and have had Advanced Stain Removal training. Combine this with the use a variety of modern products and techniques we are generally very successful often astonishing our clients with what we can do and other cleaners in the past were unable to do.
Can you get the pet odour out of my carpet?
This is a very common problem that we get asked to rectify and yes, we can definitely help deal with your pet odour situation. The problem with pet odour is that it can be much deeper than it first appears. Imagine an iceberg. Although you can see a stain on top of the carpet pet (and human) urine easily soaks through pile of the carpet and into the backing of the carpet and even the underlay. In more severe cases the urine can penetrate into the sub-floor (timber or concrete). The urine deposits also provides a food source and aid in the growth of bacteria. This in turn contributes to a worsening of the odour problem. Urine that is left in the carpet can contribute to a weakening of the dyes and even a permanent color loss in the effected area. Left untreated over a period of time, the odour can become absorbed into many of the porous materials in your home. Curtains, upholstered furniture and baseboards are just a few of the materials that can be absorbed these odours. We offer a range of solutions to help you solve your pet odour problems.
So depending on the level of contamination, we can offer anything from a topical treatment, to guaranteed complete pet odour by removal and replacement of effected underlay, sealing of the subfloor and cleaning of both sides of the carpet. Time is of the essence though. So the quicker you contact our customer support team and engage our expertise, the cheaper it will actually be for you to remediate this problem before the damage sinks in, literally.
What method do you use for cleaning?
While there are a variety of professional cleaning systems, the most common are referred to Steam Cleaning (also known as Hot Water Extraction) and Dry Cleaning. Both of these systems have strengths and weaknesses, and you might have your own preference to what service you would like performed also. If you ask friends and family, you will find that prefer Steam Cleaning, and some that prefer Dry Cleaning. A lot of it comes down to the technician performing the service.
Which is best, Steam Cleaning or Dry Cleaning
If you ask a ‘Steam cleaner’ this question they will likely tell you steam cleaning is better because it cleans deeper than ‘dry cleaning’. ‘Dry Cleaning’ is merely a surface clean that is designed to give carpet the appearance of clean because there is no actual wet extraction. Deep down dirt and grit embedded deep into your carpet needs to be removed; especially in high traffic areas because it wears away at the fibers and can cause your carpet to wear out prematurely and only ‘Steam Cleaning’ can do this.
If you ask a company that provides Carpet ‘Dry cleaning’ the same question, they will likely to tell you that dry cleaning is better than ‘Steam Cleaning’ because their system won’t leave your carpets wet for days. Carpets dry quicker with their method as water doesn’t penetrate backing and underlay. They will then go on to explain that excess water can cause some carpets to shrink or wrinkle, and cause odours if the get over wet.
Just as a good mechanic has more than one tool in his tool box, here at Beyond Clean Group we understand the strengths and weaknesses and are VERY PROFIECENT in using both methods and depending on the type of carpet, level of soiling or age of your floor covering, we will expertly assess which of the different cleaning systems will produce the best result for you.
As we clean to the carpet cleaning standard AS/NZS 3733:1995 we do prefer to utilize the Hot Water Extraction (aka Steam Cleaning) method first and foremost due to it’s superior cleaning and flushing ability. Think about washing your hair, you don’t just use a spritz of water, we generally use a volume of water to thoroughly rinse the oils and contaminates out. When using our platinum service, we thoroughly vacuum your carpet with an industrial grade vacuum, then we apply and gently massage a specially formulated cleaning solution and work that in and around the carpet fibre to get even coverage from the tip to the base of your carpet fibre. After leaving the cleaning solution a small period of time to release and surround the foreign soils, we then flush a very hot, but controlled amount water through the fibres which is then immediately extracted with our extremely powerful vacuum system that extracts a high volume of the deep-down dirt, allergens, and moisture, leaving your carpet the cleanest if possibly can be, from top to bottom. We then apply a conditioning rinse to leave the carpet in the softest state and can be, before we speed dry it.
By doing it to this standard YOU get best of both worlds. The cleanliness of Steam Cleaning (aka Hot Water Extraction) and a dry time that rivals dry cleaning! However, as we stated earlier, if you have a personal preference, we are happy to oblige, but would prefer to select the best method, based on our experience after we have inspected your flooring.
I have heard that cleaning my carpet makes it soil faster. Is this true?
This generally results rom cleaning detergent residues being left in the carpet, which attract dirt. This happens because of a previously using an uncertified and untrained operator, using an operator that used an inferior cleaning process, or using a company that didn’t have industrial/powerful equipment (often it is a combination of all three). Because of our training, experience and powerful equipment, we leaves little to no sticky residue behind to attract dirt.
Do I have to be home while my carpet is being cleaned?
While we love meeting our customers face to face, our businesses massive success is built off of our trustworthy and honest reputation. Therefore it is not necessary that you be home while your carpet is cleaned because our trained and certified technicians are police checked, reliable and insured. If the job is out of the ordinary, we recommend that someone meet us onsite prior to cleaning to discuss any areas of concern you have with your flooring, and which cleaning package you would prefer.
Many clients feel at ease leaving us unattended while they are at work or running their daily errands. It is quite common for our clients to meet with us then leave when we’re ready to begin cleaning. Many of our clients choose to leave a key in a designated spot, or have a friend, relative or neighbor meet us. If questions arise we will call your contact number and discuss them with you. When we are finished, we can simply leave the key in a designated predetermined area and lock ourselves out.
What should I do to prepare before the technicians arrive?
Other than large furniture, please remove all items from the floor (waste baskets, potted plants, brief cases, toys, etc.) and if you have the ability, give the floor a light vacuuming in the traffic areas prior to our arrival. While our certified technicians will do it as part of our premium service, if a quick vacuum is done prior to our arrival, it will allow us to see any areas of concern that you might have very clearly and therefore we can let you know the expected result before we even start.
As we will be using equipment that makes noise and the floors will be damp, so at the scheduled time of your appointment, please make appropriate arrangements for your children and pets to keep them safe and secure.
After my carpet was cleaned, it has bubbles or ripples in the carpet. What caused this?
As the carpet dries, these bubbles or ripples should start to lay flat again. Once it is dry they should be virtually unnoticeable. This is usually a sign that the carpet was in need of restretching prior to the cleaning and in fact hasn’t been installed correctly. If these ripples do not go away after it is completely dry, please contact our customer support team and we can have our expert technicians also fix that situation for you.
Why do some stains reappear after the carpets have dried?
This is generally caused by a sticky residue from a previous spill or spot. When we flush water through the carpet fibre to thoroughly clean it, sometimes there can be large deposits of residue and soiling hidden underneath your carpet backing. When evaporation occurs, moisture (and anything dirt or residue that is solubilised within that moisture) rises from the base of the carpet to the top (a process called ‘wicking’), before the water component evaporates leaving whatever else that was contained with it, remaining on the surface of the carpet. Sometimes this process can take days to be visible. While sometimes you might not even know what was spilt on that location as it could have even been done from a previous owner or tenant, and it has only become apparent when the carpet has now been properly cleaned and flushed. If you notice this within the first 7 days, please be sure to call us back within and we will be happy to return and retreat the area for FREE!!!

Does the equipment have to be running the entire time?
Definitely! Please do no touch, move or adjust any of the equipment we have set up. For us to achieve the best results and quickest dry time, we closely monitor the entire drying process. We may move, add or remove equipment based on what the monitoring equipment explains to us is actually happening on your site. By having someone not trained turn off or move the equipment, it will increase the time it takes to dry everything out. This can lead to secondary damage and potential microbial growth.
What are the different Categories of Water Loss?
Category 1: Also know as “Clean Water” refers to flooding from a source of water that does not pose any threat to humans. This is typically a water supply line from a tap, washing machine supply lines, water heaters, dishwasher supply lines, toilet supply lines and cisterns and other supply lines in the walls. If flooding from a clean source of water like this is treated quickly we can often save most if not all of your flooring, walls and contents.
Category 2: Also know as “Grey Water” refers to flooding from a source of water that contains a significant degree of chemical, biological or physical contaminants and can causes sickness and extensive damage to your property. This will usually come from toilet bowls, dirty water discharge from dishwashers or washing machines and other water that should go though the sewage system. Any areas that have been contaminated by the ‘Grey Water’ will need to be removed or thoroughly cleaned and an application of sanitsers will be applied to prevent mould and pathogenic microbial growth to stop further damage.
Category 3: Also known as “Black Water” refers to flooding from an extremely unsanitary source that contains harmful bacteria and fungi that will cause severe discomfort or sickness. Category 3 flood damage will usually come from a sewage back up, rising water from rivers or streams, seawater, ground surface water entering your home OR category 2 water that has been left standing for 48-72 hours. To treat this type of flooding requires extremely specialized equipment and training and will often require mould remediation after dry out is completed. Complete removal and disposal of all contaminated areas, such carpet, underlay, hardwood, laminate, gyprock, etc. In all of these cases the sooner you call the sooner we can mitigate the damage and save more of you property.
Our certified professional water damage technicians will restore your water damaged property the quickest and safest way possible using their training, latest technology equipment and extensive experience, but time is CRITICAL and a major determining factor in how quick the premises is restored and how much can be salvaged and restored.
How much does this add to my electricity bill having all this equipment running?
We only use the most technologically advanced and efficient equipment. This results in us being able to dry much quicker while being very economical. In actually terms of cost, it will probably be no more than a few dollars per day.
Will my insurance cover the water damage to my property?
This depends on the actual insurance company your policy is with, the type of cover that you have, the source of the damage, (i.e. whether it was a natural disaster like a flood, or if it was caused by a burst pipe.) The insurance company will also want to make sure that you took the necessary precautions to try and prevent the situation.
It’s a bit warm and muggy inside, can I open the windows?
We will be monitoring your site continually to dry it as quick as possible. Our drying equipment is increasing the rate of evaporation, which in turn makes the air feel wetter, or more humid. If WE suggest that you open some windows, it may be because the outside conditions will help the drying process. However, if we haven’t instructed to do so, please leave the structure just as we have left it, as it is setup based on what our measuring equipment tells us will be the most optimal drying conditions possible.
What should I do first?
The very thing you should do if possible and if can be done safely, is to stop the source of the water. Secondly, you need to call us ASAP! We are available 24 hours per day to help you through your emergency. Time is of the essence when there has been damage caused by water. The longer water is in contact with your carpet and structure the more problems and damage that be caused.
DO NOT
• Ever use any type of vacuum cleaner or electrical device; it could result in electrical shock and damage the equipment and the person using it
• Walk on wet carpets or the effected areas more than necessary
What happens with my damaged furniture and/or contents?
We will do our best to restore your furniture and/or contents to the same condition they were in prior to the damage happening. If we are not able to restore any items we will set them aside to be itemised and turned in to your insurance adjuster. Your Insurance Adjuster will determine coverage according to your particular policy.
Do you come out on weekends and during the night?
Yes! As we mentioned earlier, time is critical in these events. We have trained water damage and microbial remediation technicians ready to assist you 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
Do I have to wait for my insurance company to give the go ahead before I can proceed?
In a word…No! Your insurance company will need to be notified of the damage to your property, but you shouldn’t wait for them to give permission, as the reality is you are responsible for your own losses. In fact, it’s normal for the insurance loss adjuster to arrive after our restoration technicians and already find the drying process already started.
What is the complete process?
When you make the initial call, we will put you through to one of our certified restoration specialists (or have them return your call in a matter of minutes in case they are already assisting other clients). Then we’ll do the following to help you reclaim your home.
1. Give you advise about what you can do to minimize damage until our crew arrives.

My house has a peculiar odour, is this common after water damage?
When belongings and materials get wet that aren’t designed to be wet, you may be get a ‘souring’ smell. This is a natural bacterium forming. The good news is that after the drying out and antimicrobial process that we employ here at Beyond Clean Group (generally 3-5 days) all bacteria should be gone and so too should the smell. It is only a short-term odour that will have disappeared before we have finished our scope of works.
Mould Removal and Remediation (7)
How does your company test for mould?
Testing mould can be done two ways, air and surface sampling. Surface sampling involves collecting a sample with a sterile swab or tape. This sample is then viewed under a microscope to determine if the sample contains mould, and if so, what is the spore and what species of mould has been found. Air sampling involves collecting a known volume of air and determining the number and types of mold spores present. Indoor levels are then compared to outdoor levels to determine if mold amplification is occurring within a building. Mold levels indoors should generally be 30-70% those of outdoor levels. If they are higher, then there is a mold problem.
Why should we hire Beyond Clean Group to get rid of the Mould?
Just like most trades, there are always contractors and companies looking make a quick buck. However, due to potential health risks associated with mould, it is critical that mould remediation work be performed by a company whose staff are trained and as ‘Advanced Microbial Remediation Technicians’. Our staff here at Beyond Clean Group are certified by the IICRC in this field as ‘Advanced Microbial Technicians’. Due to our training and experience, throughout the mould abatement process we provide the highest level of protection for you, your family, occupants and workers within the structure by containing mould spores and dust within the containment areas.
When mould is discovered and after we are engaged as your professional remediation firm, we will develop a comprehensive project plan consistent with industry indoor air quality (IAQ) standards and applicable regulations, and in many cases, the services of an industrial hygienist (IH) will be used in order to determine the severity of the indoor air problem. A program of containment and drying (and demolition if necessary) will be developed. Once the mould remediation is completed, we work with a third party indoor hygienist using post-abatement clearance testing to establish that the project has been successfully completed to professional protocols and return the structure to normal levels.

What is mould?
Moulds are microscopic organisms found virtually everywhere, both indoors and outdoors. Moulds exist to break down organic material and recycle nutrients in the environment. There are four requirements that are needed for mould to colonize and become a potential hazard, Air, temperature, moisture and food source. Humidity and water leaks are the cause of most mold infestations. Moulds are tiny (VERY tiny), lightweight and easily detached by air movement. The ‘musty’ smell you identify when you enter an area that has mould is caused by a gas called Microbial Volatile Organic Compound (MVOC).
Every one of us has a different threshold limit value (TLV) and can tolerate different levels of toxins, bacteria or other airborne materials. The most common symptoms of mould exposure are cough, congestion, runny nose or trouble breathing. Mould can also worsen asthma symptoms or other allergies. If mould is present, young children (under the age of 18), the elderly, chronically ill, pregnant and immune compromised individuals are at greater risk.
Why can’t I just use bleach to kill the Mould myself?
Apart from not having the proper personal protective equipment and training (did you know by trying to kill and clean it yourself you can make it airborne and infect more areas of your place), you should not use bleach to “treat” the mold. Bleach will remove the discolouration but may leave the micro flora that will enable the mould to return in exactly the same spot when conditions are right. Bleach (or sodium hypochlorite specifically) is water based and when the chlorine escapes the water; your treatment will only feed the moulds roots with the water left from the bleach. Without the use of the proper containments, equipment, personal protection, and knowledge, you may make your problem worse than before.
Why is everyone so scared of Mould?
Everyone has an opinion. It is coming into the media spotlight more and more. Being informed and educated on the causes and effects of mould and mould removal is a good thing. If you have mould present in your home, a mould removal consultation is needed. Evidence of mold means there are other problems with your home that need to be identified and corrected.
The typical reaction to elevated levels of mould spores is an allergic reaction. This is similar to the seasonal allergies many people develop in the autumn when outdoor mould levels are often high. The typical symptoms are sneezing, nasal and sinus congestion, irritation in the eyes, nose, and throat, and coughing. In sensitive individuals, more serious problems may develop such as: shortness of breath, frequent headaches, trouble concentrating, mood changes, nausea, dizziness, stress fatigue, asthma, skin irritation through to serious allergic reactions, asthma attacks and even permanent lung damage.
Tile and Grout Cleaning (19)
How often should I have my floor cleaned?
Many factors must be considered when determining the how frequently you should have your tiles or natural stone cleaned. Foot traffic, pets, children, and routine floor maintenance will affect how often you need to have your f cleaned.
Why do you charge by the Square Metre instead of Per Room like others do?
Quite simply, it is the fairest solution for you as the consumer engaging a company. It stops some companies who use ‘per room’ pricing to then turn up and extract more money from you because you job is larger than they assumed (which is also a typical “Bait and Switch” tactic too). There can be confusion with some consumers as well if a lounge and dining room are considered as one if there are no walls separating them. With our system, you only pay for exactly what we clean. If your room size is smaller than what is considered ‘standard’, you pay less.
How long will it take for my floor to dry?
Due to the power of our equipment, you will be able to walk on your floors by the time we leave your place.
Regular professional cleaning using a IICRC trained technician is as important as having a trained mechanic perform routine tune-ups on your car. In an unregulated industry, using a company that has all of its staff trained to IICRC standards is the BEST level of insurance you could choose when selecting a cleaning professional to enter your home or business to clean, all the while giving you peace of mind.
How do you clean my tile & grout?
We start by applying a cleaning agent across your floor that will start to release the impacted soil from your natural stone/tiles and/or grout. We will then agitate this deep into the grout lines to maximise the result. Using very hot water at high volume, we use a high pressure rotary tool with dual rotating jets that performs the clean and capture process where we blast all the foreign soils off your floors, while the entire system is under powerful vacuum so there is no overspray, leaving your floors to dry in a matter of minutes.
Should I go with the cheapest advertised price I can find for Stone, Tile and Grout cleaning?
Unfortunately many companies in our industry do not practice ethical service standards and will often times mislead the consumer. Offering a low price to get into someone’s home or business then, once they are in, they use high-pressure sales tactics to increase the invoice amount. It is an old trick called bait and switch. Simply, they want you to book with them because the price is too good to refuse. Often times you will find companies charging extra for pre-conditioning, vacuuming, heavy duty cleaning, fuel charges, travel and many other variations.
How long will it take to have my tile floor cleaned?
For an average size dining room and kitchen, it typically takes 45–90 minutes to clean the tile & grout. This can vary based on a number of factors including the size of the tile, amount of soil in the grout lines, and room configuration. If you choose to have sealant added, it typically takes 2–3 hours to complete the entire process.
Why do your prices vary from other Stone, Tile and Grout cleaners?
The simple answer is: quality in workmanship and reputation. Lets look at the facts
• On Going Training. Every one of our staff are trained by a technical cleaning college called Jena Dyco International in a variety of disciplines.
The majority of the stone, tile and grout cleaning firms utilise wet and dry vacuum cleaners or smaller electric extractors that have limited vacuum, little to no heat and not much pressure. Here at Beyond Clean, we only employ the most powerful and efficient cleaning equipment and processes so we can give you the best possible result in the shortest period of time so you can get back to enjoying your space.
Our primary unit is a self-contained vehicle mounted high pressure, high temperature extraction unit. When we wash our dishes, we realize that hot water helps dissolve and lift stains. The same is true when cleaning your tiles and grout. Unfortunately, most other tile cleaning companies use electric extractors will simply use the hot water that comes from your bathroom tap, which is about 50 deg C. Our very large vehicle mounted unit super heats its own water to approximately 120 deg C. That’s over twice the grease melting and stain busting heat that most other cleaners have access too. But the real reason our unit is the most powerful here on the Sunshine Coast is due to its vacuum and extraction power. This machine has almost two and a half times more drying power than a standard machine most other companies utilise. What does all this tech talk mean for you? It means that combined with our experience, our high performance equipment will allow us clean the maximum amount of soil from your tiles and staining from your grout, leaving you with the cleanest floor possible.
Is getting my stone, porcelain, tile and/or grout sealed an expensive option?
We explain that it is like insurance. It is expensive? How much does it cost if you have an accident and you DON’T have it? Sealers are affordably priced and can actually save you a lot of money in replacement costs if you drop something on your floor that could permanently stain it.
Do you move furniture?
Our crews are professionally trained to move your light furniture, and return it to its rightful place when cleaning is completed (please remove any valuables, knick knacks and breakables prior to our arrival). For liability purposes, we cannot be responsible for heavier furniture (like piano’s, some beds, bookcases, china cabinets, entertainment cabinets etc.). In these kinds of situations our technicians will work around these pieces delicately.
What type of hard surface can you clean?
• Ceramic
• Porcelain
• Marble
• Terrazzo
• Pavers
• Concrete
• Sandstone
• Terracotta
• Granite
• Limestone
• Saltillo
• Quarry
• Slate
We can also clean footpaths, driveways, pool surrounds, and any other external hard surface.
Should I have my grout lines sealed?
Grout is an extremely porous material that absorbs soil, oils and spills, just like carpet. Having a sealer applied will help to give you a ‘window of opportunity’. In the unfortunate even of you dropping or spilling something on your floor (like a glass of wine etc.), with sealed grout you will have the time to clean up liquid spills before they soak into the grout. The type of sealant you choose will determine the degree of stain resistance.

I mop regularly! Why should I have my Stone, Tile and Grout professionally cleaned?
That’s great you are proud of your place and mop your floors regularly. However, just like carpet, dirt builds up over time and has a dulling effect on your tile’s appearance. But unlike carpet, when dirt builds up on tiles, it has nowhere to go and sits on top.
When you run a mop over the floor, all you are doing is liquefying that dirt, and then as you move the mop from left to right across the floor, you are depositing that dirty water over your grout, which is very porous. Think about what colour the water is in your mop bucket by the time you have finished your floor. It is generally a very dark dirty brown or black colour with due to all the dirt you have mopped up. Well that same coloured water is soaking in and staining your grout. A thorough, professional tile & grout cleaning is the only way to remove the deep-down dirt that is impacted on the surface of the tile and the discolouration that has happened to your grout lines.
Do I have a choice of sealers?
Yes, there are a variety of sealers that we can apply, depending on the substrate, location, and end result/look desired. Different sealers are suitable for different surfaces and locations. Some will enhance the look of natural stone. Some will fill the micro pores in porcelain, some will seal grout. Some work better at repelling water based staining only, and some others against oil and water. There is also gloss, semi gloss and matt finishes. No matter what your floor and what look you want, our expert technicians will assist you to select the most suitable sealer.
Can you clean apartments and high rise dwellings?
Definitely! Yes, we use the same safe but efficient cleaning solutions but utilize slightly different equipment and technology to allow for a thorough cleaning no matter what your location.
The grout in my shower recess and around the toilet is discoloured; can this be removed with your cleaning?
Staining around toilets and inside shower cubicles/recesses is difficult to completely remove as the staining is either from urine deposits, body fats and oils. Usually has gone very deep in the grout itself, and some instances damaged or permanently stained the grout. The longer you leave it uncleaned and not sealed the worse it will get, so it is recommended to have these areas cleaned and sealed even if the results are not as spectacular as we can achieve in other areas within your residence or business. In areas that have permanently stained grout, we could even colour seal that area to bring it back to 100% uniformity.
Grout Colour Sealing (13)
Can you change the colour of my existing grout or is this for new installations only?
Yes, we can be re-colour both existing and freshly laid grout to a lighter or darker shade of your existing grout OR a different colour altogether to match your changing decor. You can choose to have a mild change in your colour scheme, or you can choose to go wild with your changes.
Can you colour seal my grout floor in my apartments and high-rise dwelling?
Yes, absolutely. We can perform this process anywhere, no matter what the location.
How soon can I walk on my floor after it has been colour sealed?
The floor will be ready for normal traffic about 30 minutes after we have finished the application. It will take 24 hours for the sealer to completely cure, so we suggest that you avoid any liquid coming in contact with the floor during that time.

How is it applied?
The floor is professionally cleaned, neutralized and dried via our clean and capture process. Then, the sealer is manually applied using professional equipment and allowed to soak into the grout. Lastly, the excess colour seal is removed from the surface and allowed to dry. The entire floor is then cleaned and buffed leaving your floor like day it was installed.
How long does the colour seal last for?
The colour seal we apply to your floor is an acrylic titanium resin that has a urethane modified sealing agent and concrete hardeners built in to give maximum strength in bonding to cementicous grout. If you maintained properly, the protection will last up to 15 years.
Why should I have my grout lines sealed?
Grout is a porous material that absorbs soil and spills, just like carpet. Having a sealant applied will help create a protective barrier, giving you more time to clean up dirt and liquid spills before they soak into the grout. The type of sealant you choose will determine the degree of stain resistance.
Can you colour seal any floor?
We can only seal grout the separates man made tiles such as ceramic and porcelains. We cannot seal grout on natural stone floors such as granite, marble and limestone etc. Due to the reactive hardeners that are built in to the grout sealer, they would react with the natural stone and bond to the tile, not just the grout.
How long do I have to stay off the floor after sealant has been applied?
We recommend that you wait 30 minutes before walking on the floor to allow the sealer to dry.
Standard Grout and Sealed Grout. What’s the difference?
When the Grout is left unsealed and ‘Standard’ it means that the it is porous (just like a sponge) and because of this, everything can soak into the grout lines, and has no protection from any type of dirt, grime, stains and dirty mop water. This will leave your grout unhealthy, discoloured, and not very clean and possibly even permanently discoloured. However when you get our professionals here at Beyond Clean Group to ‘Seal’ your grout, it will put a protective barrier over the grout that will give you the window of opportunity so that if you ever spill or drop anything to your floor, you have the chance to clean it up before it soaks in and possibly becomes a permanent stain. If any dirt and spills occur on your newly colour sealed floor, you can clean up with ease, making a colour sealed floor much easier to maintain.
Do I have to use a special floor cleaner if I have the sealer applied?
To preserve the life of the sealer, we recommend that you use a neutral cleaner on your floor. Rinsing after mopping will also help keep your floors looking their best. You will want to avoid bleach and other harsh chemical cleaners as these can wear away at the sealer and cause it to break down prematurely.
What is Grout Colour Sealing?
For clients that are looking to either cover discoloured grout, or to completely change the look of an existing room, after a thorough restorative cleaning we can apply a long lasting and highly durable coating, specifically designed to re-colour, rejuvenate and seal existing grout. This is an ideal scenario for changing grout colour to suit new décor, or to totally restore your dirty old grout back to its original freshly laid look. Also, not only does it transform the look of your grout, it also provides maximum stain protection against most contaminants, and dries to a natural finish.

Can you restore carpets apartments and high rise dwellings?
Definitely! Yes, we use the same safe but efficient cleaning solutions but utilize slightly different equipment and technology to allow for a thorough decontamination no matter what your location.
I have just had my carpets cleaned and now my place smells like urine! Why?
To understand this, we need to understand the makeup of Urine. No matter human or animal as a source, Urine has three main components:
• Urea: a slightly sticky substance
• Urochrome: Which gives urine it’s yellow colour
• Uric acid: Mildly acid when fresh, but the turns into alkaline when dry.
The first two components can be removed with professional cleaning. However the uric acid crystals are extremely insoluble and remain tightly bonded to the surface, wherever it has soaked to. After initial cleaning and drying it may appear that the problem is solved. Sometimes you might not even realise there was a urine deposit in your carpet, as if it is dry, there is no odour to it.
However any type of moisture will reactivate those remaining crystals, and the bacteria that feed on these deposits return and give off the odour we commonly associate with urine, and the smell returns – as strong as ever (you will notice this happening on rainy days and very humid days also). Our trained and certified Odour removal technicians here at Beyond Clean Group specialise in removing all stains and odours associated with feces and urine from carpets, fabric, mattresses, wood floors, cement, tiles, porcelains and more.
* NOTE*
Beyond Clean Group will not be responsible if the cleaning process reactivates older urine deposits that are already in the carpet, underlay or substrate which may cause odour or stain problems. Although we only utilise the best chemicals and procedures in some severe cases the problem maybe beyond restoration and carpets and furniture may need to be replaced.
How do you know where the odour is coming from?
We use a special black light that produces a wavelength that fluoresces or identifies urine, bodily excretions and fluids that are simply not visible to the naked eye. With the aid of this tool showing us exactly where to treat, we can then use our sub surface remediation system to break up, dissolve and then extract the food source of the odour causing bacteria.
Upholstery Cleaning (12)
How long will my upholstery take to dry?
The type of fabric, how soiled it was and the ambient temperature are the biggest determining factors on dry times. However, due to our powerful equipment and superior training, we can dry you upholstery quicker than most. In general, it should be generally dry between 2 to 4 hours. If we reapply a protector to your upholstery, this will also add to the dry time, however the benefits far outweigh the negatives.

I live in a high-rise apartment. Can you clean my upholstery?
Yes, we use the same all safe but powerful products but utilize slightly different cleaning equipment and technology to allow for a thor111ough and safe cleaning no matter what the location.
How does Beyond Clean Group clean upholstered furniture?
We use our powerful hot water extraction cleaning process whenever possible, because, just like on carpet, it provides the deepest cleaning of all the possible methods. Some fabrics may require a more delicate low moisture cleaning system. In this case, we will help you make a decision that best suits your needs, your furniture and your budget.
Should I get my upholstery cleaned during winter or on a rainy day?
For some companies, this might be a concern. Not for us here at Beyond Clean Group though! Not only are we one of the most experienced companies that provide upholstery cleaning on the Sunshine Coast, we have also heavily invested in some of the most powerful equipment. What this means, is that rain, hail or shine, no matter the season that we can always provide a fantastic standard of clean with a dry time that won’t inconvenience you or your family.
My lounge has fabric protection applied to it. Will cleaning remove it?
While professional cleaning may impact the protective coating (depends on what brand and who actually applied it) on your furniture, the dry soils that accumulate on it over time, along with the daily use you subject your upholstery too will be the biggest reason the protection will deteriorate in strength. To keep your valuable upholstered furniture protected from the damage that dry and liquid soils can do, we can re-apply this coating following cleaning. This is HIGHLY recommended!
How often do manufacturers recommend professional cleaning?
You should not let your upholstery get soiled to the point of a noticeable or visible change in the colour of the fabric. If it gets to this stage, it could start to damage the fibres. Manufacturers of upholstered furnishing generally recommend having furniture professionally cleaned every 12-24 months depending on use.
How do you charge for upholstery cleaning?
We charge by the seating capacity. There are other things that will vary the final pricing is the particular fabric, overall size (some seats have a chaise) overall soiling level and number of cushions. All pricing is always confirmed prior to cleaning, so you won’t have any nasty surprises! The price we quote after we have inspected is the price you pay!
Can all carpet cleaners professionally clean and restore upholstery?
Well to start with there are a lot of companies that claim they are knowledgeable about upholstery because they are also carpet cleaners. Fact is though that the carpet and upholstery have quite distinctive challenges, as upholstery is often considered a ‘delicate’ fabric and needs to be handled in a different way, with a different skill set that needs to be learnt and applied. All of our technicians are trained and certified as ‘Certified Upholstery Technicians’ to IICRC standards. This is a level of training that only a very small amount of professional cleaners ever achieve. Most carpet cleaning technicians dislike doing upholstery cleaning because it is backbreaking work being hunched over for hours at a time. Our expert team here at Beyond Clean Group LOVE the technical challenge that professional upholstery cleaning provides. Combine our decades of experience and our high level of training, and you can feel comfortable that we can take care of your upholstery cleaning needs and restore them to the highest possible standard.
Should I have fabric protection applied/reapplied after you have cleaned?
It is highly recommended. Consider it like insurance. You never want to think about it until you actually need it. If you don’t have it on your upholstery and you, one of the kids or the pets has an accident; it could be a permanent stain. However, if you have your upholstery protected and the same accident happens, it will give you the window of opportunity to clean it up before it becomes a stain. When we apply protection to your upholstered pieces, it will help your fabrics stay cleaner for longer and protect your investment, giving it a longer life span between replacements.
How long should it take to clean my lounge suite?
This is how you really tell if you have chosen a professional that knows and understands the challenges that upholstery cleaning has, and why it isn’t a cheap service to provide. Depending on how dirty it is and the type of fabric, a 3 seater lounge and 2 single recliners (5 seating capacity) should take anywhere from 2 to 3 hours to do properly. Hardwood Floor Cleaning and Coating (10)
Are your technicians trained and certified to perform this service?
In an unregulated industry, using a company that has all of its staff trained to IICRC standards is the BEST level of insurance you could choose when selecting a cleaning professional to enter your home to clean and protect your investment, all the while giving you peace of mind. Our technicians are trained to international standards in ‘Hard Floor Cleaning Technicians’
I live in a high-rise apartment. Can you still clean and restore my hard floors?
Yes, we use the same all safe but powerful products but utilize slightly different cleaning equipment and technology to allow for a thor111ough and safe cleaning no matter what the location.
What makes Beyond Clean Group different to other Wood Floor Professionals?
Previously, if you wanted your floors refinished, you had to sand away the top layer and finish the floor again. It’s dusty, noisy, expensive, and your home will be taken over during the process. With the system we have developed here at Beyond Clean Group, we help you avoid all the inconvenience. We can remove years of built up dirt and soils and apply a new coat that will leave you floor looking incredible. And, we can do all this without sanding and major disruption to you daily routine.
How long before I can walk on my newly refinished floors again?
You don’t need to leave your home at all during our wood floor cleaning process. If you are having the floor refinished, you will need to follow these rules as the finish sets:
1. During the First Two Hours: Do not walk on the floors at all.
2. During the First Twenty-Four Hours: Keep traffic to a minimum and wear socks when walking on the floor. Do not allow pets onto the floor.
3. After Twenty-Four Hours: Furniture and rugs may be moved back, but you should put felt pads on the underside of all furniture.
How long will the coat/finish last for?
Because of our professional cleaning and neutralising we perform as part of our initial step, it sets the floor up perfectly so the finish (either matt or gloss) will adhere to your floor for many years to come.
How do you clean hardwood floors?
Unlike regular mopping (either via wet or steam mops) that doesn’t remove the dirt and soils that are embedded deep into the woods pores, our process starts with a industrial HEPA vacuum, then we mechanically scrub an alkaline cleaning detergent across the floor to lift any of the deeply embedded soils. We then pick up the now solubilised soils and then mechanically massage a neutral cleaner to return the floor to its initial natural look.
What kind of finishes can you apply to protect my floor after cleaning?
We have two different types of protective coats we can apply
Maintenance Coat
After we deep clean your floor and dry it, then we’ll coat your floors with our ‘Maintenance Coat’ solution. Our fast drying Maintenance Coat will leave your floors with a uniform, overall sheen.
Poly Coat
Our durable, quick-dry Poly Coat will provide a protective layer to your floors. After our deep cleaning process, we will coat your floor with an even layer of our Poly Coat solution, which will create a protective barrier against water and chemical damage. This will also help your hardwood resist scratching and scuffing; it will leave your floor with a consistent shine.

How come I can still see the odd pest AFTER the treatment?
It is highly possible that you will. Pest that you see after the treatment could have wandered in from outside, but because of how we have applied the treatment, they will have crossed a treated area and die shortly after that. Some pests also take time to come out of their homes before they cross over treated areas.
Depending on the pest we are treating, some of the products are designed to let the pest survive for a period of time after coming in contact with treated areas, so they actually can then take the product back to the nest and share the treatment around, therefore allowing us to get a much better success rate.
It’s important to remember that it could take up to a few weeks for the treatment to take full affect. Our trained and licensed pest management technician will discuss this with you when on site.
Do I need to empty out my kitchen cupboards prior to your technicians arrive?
No, it isn’t necessary to empty out your cupboards. Our processes are designed to carefully target specific areas. The only thing that we do ask is that you remove or cover open food contents.
Where does your technician apply the treatment?
This is completely dependent on the pest we are treating for. We focus the pest management solutions on the places where the pest in question will hide, feed and breed. Most of our treatments are away from where humans will generally walk or touch to limit the contact with you and your loved ones.
What else do I need to do before the appointment starts?
The most important thing we need is access to the perimeter of each room to spray along the skirting boards. Articles of clothing, toys, magazines and any other loose items should be cleared so we have clear access. Any fruit or exposed food on benches and tabletops should be covered or removed completely from the area to be treated.
We haven’t seen any pests around. Do we need to bother with an annual pest inspection?
In our line of work, we have learnt one valuable lesson over the years. We are humans, they are pests. Never assume we ANYTHING when it comes to pests. We study them, their life cycles and their environments. However, we also see things often that they shouldn’t technically be doing, but they often do.
Some pests you won’t see because when they are nocturnal, and when they are out and about, you are comfortably sleeping in bed. Some pests prefer to hide in dark damp areas that you won’t normally get access to within your home. So just because you can’t see a pest,
What do I do to keep my pets safe during the pest management appointment?
We take extreme care constantly to make sure we are using the safest solutions and best practices. You can assist us by making sure their water and food bowls are removed during spraying, and keep pets away from the building while the treatment is being conducted.
We live in a relatively new home. Pests won’t really bother us will they?
Unfortunately, pests don’t care if you live in an older place, or a brand new one. If they are looking for a home that is conducive for them and has a food source, they will set up camp anywhere. They don’t discriminate if you live in a rural area or an urban dwelling.
How often should I have my house or unit treated for pests?
An annual inspection is the safest way to detect, treat and prevent pests from gaining control of your property. However time is critical. If you think you have a pest problem now, don’t wait! Call us right away so we can get our professionally trained Pest Management inspector onsite as soon as possible.
Do I need to vacate my place during the treatment?
It really depends on the pest we are treating for. Generally, you don’t have to leave; although a lot of our clients will find something to do during the time we are applying the treatment to the inside. Our treatments are very localised so you don’t have anything to worry about. Our technician will explain this in more detail upon arrival.
Carpet Repairs (10)
Where do you get the donor piece of carpet from?
The best-case scenario is that you might have a remnant onsite somewhere. Failing this, we can cut a matching piece from inside the sliding robe or closet, or from underneath a piece of furniture. If we cannot get a piece of donor carpet, we simply cannot patch the carpet. However, if we can, the patch will last for the life of the carpet.
Do I need a trained professional to do this service?
Just like most trades, there are always contractors and companies looking make a quick buck. However, our staff here at Beyond Clean Group are certified by the IICRC in this field as ‘Carpet Repair and Reinstallation Technicians’. This is a certification that only a very limited amount of technicians ever achieve in Australia, and we are proud that our staff, although very experienced, continue to keep up to date with the latest procedures and equipment to make sure we provide you with the best service and result possible.

Leather Cleaning (11)
How often should I have my leather professionally cleaned?
It depends on the conditions and traffic that your leather is subjected to. If you have kids or pets your leather might need attention sooner than suggested.

Mattress Cleaning (9)
Will cleaning my mattress reduce my allergies?
Cleaning your mattress won’t exclusively cure you from your allergies. However, it is a large part of reducing the severity and frequency of your allergies. A high percentage of people with allergies are allergic to the droppings of dust mites. When we clean your mattress with our system, we remove their food source and therefore reduce their droppings. This will GREATLY help allergy sufferer symptoms, but as always, we recommend that you also seek advice from your healthcare professional.

Can you remove urine and organic staining from mattresses?
If a stain happens, the best thing that can do is NOT to apply any household products – as they can simply mask the stain and odour and inhibit the professional corrective measures we need to do. Generally, we can significantly reduce if not eliminate the stain area and completely remove any odour (and bacteria) associated with the stain. The result can be dependent on the age of the stain, material the mattress is made of and other factors.

Why can’t I just vacuum clean my own mattress?
There is nothing stopping you from doing this as well. However, sometimes it can make your symptoms worse by making the contaminates airborne and can trigger a negative allergenic response. Residential vacuums simply don’t have the suction, vibration and filtration power to remove the debris and impacted dead skin cells that our industrial cleaning units do.
Not only do our industrial mattress cleaning machines operate with HEPA filtration, they also operate at high frequency waves that agitate all the particles out of your mattress before extraction. At the same time this is happening, your mattress is being subjected to the disinfecting benefits that the on board UV-C light provides.

How often should I have my mattress cleaned?
On average, we all shed approximately 3.6 kilograms of dead skin each year. Because we spend 1/3 of our live in bed, most of that dead skin ends up in our bedding. Dust mites feed on this food source. So it is recommended to get your mattresses professionally cleaned every 6 to 12 months.
How long will it take to clean my mattress?
A single mattress will take our professional technicians between 15-25 minutes for a single mattress, and up to 45 minutes for a King sized mattress.
Stain and UV Protection (13)
What makes your MicroSeal product better than other brands of protectors?
The biggest difference is that MicroSeal is a penetrating product, not simply a coater that sits on the outside of the fibre. Coating products are hard and break up easily (upon manipulation or cleaning). MicroSeal penetrates the individual fibres forming a “flexible” barrier that does not break up. MicroSeal actually helps to strengthen fibres.

How does MicroSeal resist wear and abrasion?
Fibres treated with MicroSeal are up to 60% more resistant to wear and abrasion because soil must wear off the protection before causing wear on the fibres. Similarly, fabric fibres must wear off the protective MicroSeal penetrator before they can wear on each other. This “wear resistance” promotes longer fabric life and less frequent replacement.
What types of products and fibres can you apply MicroSeal too?
Virtually every type of fibrous fabric including wool, cotton, nylon, polyester blends, silk, natural suede, synthetic suede and even smooth finished leather. You can have all types of items protected including fine furniture, oriental rugs, carpets, curtains, interiors of boats, planes and cars and patio garden furniture. MicroSeal however is not effective on vinyl.
Is MicroSeal colourfast?
Yes! MicroSeal will not change the colour, texture or feel of any type of fabric. What’s more, if accidently over sprayed on wood, glass, tile or metal it will not damage the finish and is easily wiped away. MicroSeal does NOT contain water so it cannot promote shrinkage or colour change.
Doesn’t carpet come with a protector? Why do I need to buy more?
This is a question we get asked often. Some carpets do actually come with a protector applied to it back at the carpet mill. Most of the time though, it is a protector that is designed to repel dry soil. However over time and due to day-to-day foot traffic, this protector will wear off.
Having a protector reapplied will reduce the impact or soiling or spills on the fibres. A carpet and fabric protector will create an invisible barrier that minimises the impact of future spills and soiling. This allows you extra time to remove the offending substance before permanent damage or staining occurs. Many carpet manufacturers require a yearly professional cleaning to validate their product’s warranty. Our MicroSeal product can be applied on top of every type of manufacturer treated carpet and upholstery with no negative side effects. MicroSeal has an added advantage to an already mill treated carpet or fabric because it is a better protector, longer lasting and provides almost 100% UV protection on most fabrics

Many clients feel at ease leaving us unattended while they are at work or running their daily errands. It is quite common for our clients to meet with us then leave when we’re ready to begin our duties. Many of our clients choose to leave a key in a designated spot, or have a friend, relative or neighbor meet us. If questions arise we will call your contact number and discuss them with you. When we are finished, we can simply leave the key in a designated predetermined area and lock ourselves out.

Why does my Air-conditioning system need to be cleaned?
Do you find you have to dust frequently? Do you have allergy sufferers in your family? Musty odours when the system is running? Do you or the previous owners/tenants have pets inside? Then it might be time to utilise our services. Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) is a major concern these days, and your air conditioning system are the lungs of your building. Dust is made up of dirt, pollen, mould spores, hair and other allergy causing particles all of which get drawn into your air conditioner system. As much as 90% of these particles pass through your filters and will accumulate on the coils and barrel fan blades (reducing the air flow). The build-up of dust can cause allergic reactions for allergy sufferers, and leave your home or business with a stale and musty odour. By not having your air conditioner unit cleaned, it can reduce the lifespan of the equipment; make your energy bill increase due to the motors having to work harder and more importantly, pollute your indoor environment with unhealthy air.
I clean my Air Con filters myself. Why do I need your company?
That’s great that you clean the filters! However that is only a very small part of the full service that our expert cleaning technicians do. While we also will clean your filters, we actually disassemble the entire split system. We remove the outer casing, filters and louver and clean and sterilise them. We then go to work and pressure wash and flush out the evaporator coils, removing all dirt, soils and contaminates that have covered the fins. Finally we carefully flush out each individual blade section on the barrel fan before we clear out the condensate pan and drip lines. We then apply a disinfectant and mould retardant over the evaporator coil and barrel fan.
How do I know if your cleaning process has been beneficial to my indoor environment?
There is a difference between making something visually clean, and actually clean and safe from a microbial point of view. After our final step in our process, we then perform a swab where we test for the reduction in ATP (Adenosine triphosphate), which is an energy-bearing molecule, found in all living cells. We reduce the ATP to pre-determined levels that are deemed as safe for indoor environments. This ensures you that the job has been done correctly. Most companies do not use or even understand such technologies. We utilise this scientific bioluminescence metre to make sure that we are actually reducing the bacteria and pathogens in your air conditioning system. Your health is that important to us.
